Municipalities Payments

Magic-Wrighter's Municipality Payment service allows town and city municipalities to receive payments from their customers via the Internet or by touch-tone phone.

By using the Internet, the customer account holders will log onto the municipality's web site (or the financial institution's web site if they do not have a web site) and choose Online Payments. The customer is automatically hyper linked to Magic-Wrighter's secure web server for transactions.

The customers enter their account number, password, date and the amount of their payment. Magic-Wrighter's Internet Server accepts their payment and reads back or displays a confirmation number. The customer can enter the confirmation number and payment amount into their records for proof of payment.

Magic-Wrighter's Municipality Payment service allows consumer access 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Consumers can make payments at anytime and schedule posting dates into the future. The system includes a repeat payment option that can be activated by the consumer. This feature can repeat a payment for a specified number of times or until a balance is paid in full. This gives the consumer a choice of being in control of their payment or having the benefits of automatic payment.

The customers are not required to have their personal checking or savings account at your financial institution in order to use the service. Magic-Wrighter's Municipality Payment service can debit a checking or savings account from any financial institution that accepts ACH transactions.

The municipalities are notified each morning via the Internet of all payments processed and posted to their corporate account for the previous day. The Municipality Payment service provides a daily payment transaction file that can be retrieved and posted to your business customers accounts receivable systems. They will be able to forecast cash flow by reviewing the daily Pending Payment Report.

Additional features allow the municipalities to extract and download next payment information from their billing system. This allows consumers and trading partners the option of reviewing their next payment due date and amount via the Internet.

Magic-Wrighter's Municipality Payment service automatically includes online return payment reports to the municipalities. NSF payments can be automatically rescheduled for a second posting attempt.
