Check Re-Presentment

Magic-Wrighter's Electronic Check Re-presentment program provides your business customer with the option of making two additional attempts at collecting NSF checks electronically.

After your financial institution has returned paper NSF checks to your business customer, further attempts of resubmitting the paper checks for payment are not usually permitted. The Electronic Check Re-presentment software allows your business customer the option of contacting the consumer to be sure funds will become available to cover the NSF check or calling the consumer's financial institution until funds become available. After funds have become available your business customer can use Magic-Wrighter's Electronic Check Re-presentment software to withdraw funds from the consumer's checking account electronically the next business day.

The Electronic Check Re-presentment system also allows your business customer to collect "Bank" charges from the consumer's personal checking account. This eliminates the necessity of the consumer writing a second check to the business to cover return check "Bank" charges.

Your business customer can request that your financial institution make one presentment of the original paper check. This allows your business customer the option of discontinuing services to the consumer sooner, possibly saving your business customer from more losses.
